In 2007 a small group met to start the Oilman’s Archery Classic. They had two objectives. The first was to provide a venue at which Oilfield men and women could gather for camaraderie, and clean friendly competition. Their second goal was to raise money for Saint Jude’s Research Hospital.

The first goal was realized immediately. From its inception, the Oilman’s Archery Classic has been blessed to have consistently the finest group of participants.

The second goal has far exceeded all expectations. In 2011 The Oilman’s Archery Classic has surpassed $100.000.00. The total now stands at $117,666.00.

Neither achievement can be attributed to that small group from 2007. These goals were made possible by the actions of our sponsors, volunteers, and most of all our archers. The entire committee for the Oilman’s Archery Classic wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who continue to exceed the expectations of a small group, who first met in 2007.
